Does Variety Attractions do more than just book the talent?

Yes, we are an established full service entertainment agency.  We are here with you from the negotiation of the contract and entertainers rider, to guiding you the appropriate sound, staging, lighting, companies for your event, if you are in need of those services.

Our digital marketing and social media team can help you with marketing and all social media outlets including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snap Chat and Youtube.

We can also connect you with professional ticketing companies.

Your sales representative can give you ideas on sponsorship and sponsorship fulfillment, as well as connecting you with other clients who have proven track records with the sponsorship program.


What types of venues do you book?

We can build a show from the ground up at any venue type, large or small. We specialize in areas such as fairs, festivals, buildings, theaters, performing art centers, colleges, corporate, private and more!


How soon should I start looking into booking entertainment for my event?

At Variety we suggest you start 9-10 months prior to your event, so you have more of a selection to choose from as opposed to waiting a few months ahead of your event. If you are on a weekend, keep in mind the weekend dates are the prime time dates for bookings, and there are only 4 Saturdays in each month.


Who should we book?

Each event/venue is unique in their entertainment needs. We consider budget, logistics, geographical area, and being realistic when it comes to suggesting what you should book.

You will never find one of our sales staff trying to put a square peg into a round hole. We rely on our experience with artist, in regards to ticket selling ability, as well as using industry research tolls, such as Pollstar for artist tour history of ticket sales. Facebook for geographical purposes, along with Youtube and artist websites for research.


Do we need liability or other insurance for our event?

Yes. Each venue, event are unique in their respective ways. Everyone booking entertainment needs to have liability insurance. We highly suggest if you are doing outdoor events, you look into Event Cancellation Insurance, and Rain Insurance as well.


What are Grounds Entertainers?

Grounds Entertainment is the fastest growing segment in the fair, festival market. A Grounds Entertainer are acts that an event books for the length of their event, and provides as a free attraction to their fair, festival goers. It could be exotic animal acts, which are educational, and entertaining. It could be a lumberjack show demonstrating the ways of the lumberjack world.

Fairs and festivals have found by providing 2-4  of these attractions, they can drive traffic to normally slow areas on the grounds, as well as giving their patrons a little more for their paid admission to the event.


Will an entertainer do radio/tv/newspaper interviews?

This varies on the entertainer of course, but most artist are willing to do a limited number of call in’s prior to the engagement to the radio station or newspaper who are helping the event promote ticket sales. Our publicity/marketing staff will help assist you in this. Grounds entertainers are excellent sources for phone interviews prior to your event to help promote their upcoming appearances.
